60 years of happy marriage is a remarkable achievement, so it was a pleasure to share the celebrations with Edward and Albina Whisstock at the 10.15 Mass at Our Lady’s on 7 May.
As well as two delicious cakes (courtesy of Fenella Ford) we were impressed to see a greeting from HM the Queen – not to mention a special blessing from Pope Francis.
Edward tells us that his secret for a long marriage is to treat every day with Albina as just another part of their courtship.
So here’s to their next 60 years!
