At Stowmarket a small choir normally meets at 7.30 pm on Wednesdays at Our Lady’s to plan and practice the music for Sunday’s liturgy; newcomers (singers and instrumentalists of any standard) are very welcome indeed. The Mass centre at Woolpit has a welcoming and enterprising SATB choir which enables the congregational singing and usually offers a choral piece at communion, varying in style from Renaissance motets to contemporary worship songs.
